01 / THE WALK HOME
Slow down. Don't review yet.
City pop and slow beats. The kit bag is still on my shoulder; leave the score at the venue and deal with it downstairs.

02 SOUNDTRACK / THE MATCH INSIDE MY HEADPHONES
Headphones,
the second court.
The playlist isn't sorted by genre; it's sorted by when I get home: clocking out, the night road, before the first serve, joining the server. The player comes from NetEase Cloud Music — pick a track and tonight's background sound changes.

03 LISTENING MODES
I listen by scene.
I don't chase the new-release charts, and I don't keep a "must-hear" list. A song turning up at the right hour is what it's actually for.
02 / BEFORE FIRST SERVE
Get the heart rate up first
Some drums, and a chorus with no logic to it. Usually it's what gets me through the last warm-up round of multiball.
03 / INTO THE SERVER
Last round. No shaking.
The fixed ritual before a match. Turn the headphones up to slightly too loud, then pull my attention into the crosshair.
04 THE LONG VERSION
The playlist keeps changing.
So do the matches.
Head to NetEase Cloud for the full version of what I'm listening to; the results keep updating on another board.
